About the position

The Hardware Product Owner for LPR Systems at Insight LPR is responsible for leading the development and management of innovative license plate recognition (LPR) camera systems. This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software systems, ensuring seamless integration and driving product excellence to meet market demands. The successful candidate will manage the full product lifecycle, from conception to launch, and will collaborate closely with engineering and software teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full product lifecycle of LPR camera hardware, from conception to launch and beyond
  • Lead product discovery efforts, including prototyping and field testing of LPR camera systems
  • Work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot hardware issues and propose effective solutions
  • Collaborate with software teams to ensure seamless integration between camera hardware and LPR software
  • Analyze performance data and user feedback to continuously improve product quality and features
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including technical specifications and integration guides
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware product management, preferably in the LPR or surveillance camera industry
  • Deep understanding of both hardware and software systems in camera technology
  • Hands-on experience with camera systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of optical systems, image processing, and machine vision technologies
  • Experience with software-hardware integration in camera systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying and resolving complex hardware-software integration issues
  • Strong communication skills, able to bridge gaps between hardware and software teams
