About the position

Cricut is seeking a Hardware QA Tester to join their Hardware Quality team. This role involves executing test plans for both new and existing products, ensuring they meet product requirements and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will work independently, support QA discussions in cross-functional meetings, and maintain a high level of attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out test plans for new and existing products based on product requirements and engineering specifications.
• Drive projects independently and support QA concerns in meetings with cross-functional and project teams.
• Collect, collate, and present data and findings from tests.
• Maintain high attention to detail while working on repetitive tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with mechanical parts, gears, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or automotive high-volume quality manufacturing engineering.
• Strong mechanical problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
• Experience using calipers and digital microscopes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and statistical functions such as sum, max, min, average, and standard deviation.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of current Cricut products such as Explore, Maker, and Easy Press.
• Experience testing, analyzing, troubleshooting, or repairing hardware and electronic devices.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and fixing hardware issues.
• Experience with Creo and/or Solidworks.
• Hands-on experience with machining equipment (tap a hole, mill, and lathe).
• Microcontroller programming skills in Arduino, C++, or Python.
• Skills in 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
• Knowledge of production control processes and data analysis using Six Sigma tools such as GR&R, Cp/Cpk, SPC, DOE, and t-tests.
