About the position

As a Hardware Reliability Engineer - Electrical at Matic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our innovative home robotics products. You will collaborate with various teams throughout the product development process, from engineering validation testing (EVT) to mass production (MP), to maintain high standards of product performance and reliability. Your work will directly impact the design and functionality of our autonomous robots, helping to create solutions that families love and rely on.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, supply chain, product teams, and vendors to identify root causes and resolve failures in testing and field operations.
  • Own the electrical design reliability and analyze field usage to optimize testing methods and implementations.
  • Apply electrical engineering knowledge to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement in product design.
  • Design Hardware in the Loop (HIL) tests to ensure reliability from component to system level.
  • Collaborate closely with a small hardware team to enhance product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, hardware engineering, engineering physics, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience with digital or mixed-signal designs, including internships or school projects.
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing, reliability, or design engineering role, including student project team or internship experience.
  • Experience with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence.
  • Bonus: Experience with MCAD tools like SolidWorks, 3D printing, and laser cutting.
