Apex Systems is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to join our client, a leader in innovative consumer electronics, located in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is starting as a 6-month contract, with a high potential to extend or convert after that duration. The reliability team aims to develop reliable and robust products that delight our customers. In this role, as a Hardware Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the reliability engineering of our new and emerging category devices. As a reliability engineer on new category products, you will be developing new reliability specifications and building new and reliable technologies. Your work will involve defining new test specifications, methodologies, and test coverage to assure product reliability, as well as identifying and validating product risks and collaborating with design teams to mitigate them. You will also provide hands-on experimental design and execution, perform reliability predictions of failure mechanisms on products under development and in the field, and engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and testing.
