At Lucid, we are committed to leading the future of luxury electric vehicles, and as a Hardware Security Test Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in this mission. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and enhance the low-level security of our systems, ensuring that our vehicles are not only luxurious but also secure. You will collaborate closely with our engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, design and implement security tests, and review hardware designs. Your expertise in hardware security will be crucial in improving the security robustness of our products, which include advanced features such as secure boot, authenticated debug, and silicon-level assessments. In this role, you will evaluate and analyze the security of hardware debug interfaces, such as JTAG and SWD, developing and executing test plans to identify vulnerabilities. You will conduct secure boot assessments to ensure the integrity and authenticity of firmware and bootloader components, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities in the secure boot process. Additionally, you will perform thorough chip-level security assessments, including side-channel analysis and fault injection, ensuring that hardware-level secret management is backed by secure enclaves like Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) and Hardware Security Modules (HSM). You will also be responsible for reviewing hardware designs and architectures for security vulnerabilities, providing input and recommendations to improve the security of hardware subsystems. Compliance with industry standards and best practices is essential, and you will assist in compliance assessments and audits related to hardware security. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic offensive security team, allowing you to learn and break into other security domains while collaborating with subject matter experts from various fields.
