About the position

As a Hardware Sensing Systems Engineer at Apple, you will be an integral part of the Camera Technologies group, where your primary focus will be on designing and developing innovative camera systems that enhance the photography experience for millions of customers. This role requires a deep understanding of how camera technology works, from sensors to lenses, and the ability to create groundbreaking solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in imaging technology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for various Apple products, ensuring that each generation of devices produces photos that are even more remarkable than the last. Your responsibilities will include performing systems-level analysis and modeling of sensing and imaging systems, as well as designing and constructing prototypes to guide system development and assess user impact. You will define system-level tests for parametric specifications and create subsystem specifications by analyzing, modeling, and characterizing electrical, optical, and optoelectronic components. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing project deliverables and schedules to meet commitments to product development teams, ensuring that all aspects of the camera systems are thoroughly tested and validated. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, as you will need to communicate effectively with various teams and stakeholders. You should be self-motivated and capable of leading projects independently, while also being open to collaboration and feedback from others. Your work will directly contribute to crafting a magical photography experience that redefines customer expectations for Apple’s camera technology.
