About the position

This is a Hardware/Software Engineer position at the TPO-STE, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ. Trideum Corporation is seeking the best-qualified individuals for its upcoming bid in support of this task order. The expected award and start work date is late August 2024. This position is contingent upon contract award. In this role, you will perform software analysis program scripting, testing, debugging, and simulation integration. This includes recommending modifications of existing Virtual and Gaming design, AR, VR, and MR hardware and software integration, as well as special purpose software components to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications. You will also be responsible for securing and organizing government-owned digital products to prevent degradation or loss. A detailed knowledge of the flagship Gaming software used by the US Army is essential, as you will assist with testing, analysis, and troubleshooting. You will test and modify software code across multiple devices to enable the display, interaction, and resolution of effects generated by behaviors in the simulation. Additionally, you will write documentation that provides the end user with the knowledge to integrate hardware and software to fully utilize the internally built products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software analysis program scripting, testing, debugging, and simulation integration.
  • Recommend modifications of existing Virtual and Gaming design, AR, VR, and MR hardware and software integration.
  • Secure and organize government-owned digital products to prevent degradation or loss.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the flagship Gaming software used by the US Army for testing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Test and modify software code between multiple devices to enable display and interaction of simulation effects.
  • Write documentation for end users to integrate hardware and software effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline.
  • 4 years of experience in software development and simulation integration within Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Expertise in hardware and software standards and protocols; ability to apply architecture to real-world requirements utilizing current Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC&G) platforms.
  • 2 years of experience in software testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and management of Program Trouble Reports (PTRs).
  • Experienced in writing programs using C++, MFC, C#, Visual Basic, JAVA, XML, and scripting languages.
  • Knowledgeable in integrating networking packet protocols into simulation environments.
