About the position

The Hardware/Software Integration Lab Manager at Insight Global is responsible for the technical oversight of the laboratory space in Arlington, VA, supporting DOD/IC programs. This role involves managing daily lab operations, leading a team of engineers, coordinating projects, and ensuring the successful integration and deployment of complex software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system integration, and team leadership, contributing to the innovation and continuous improvement of lab processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the system integration labs, ensuring effective utilization of resources, tools, and personnel.
  • Monitor and schedule maintenance/calibration of equipment in the lab, ensuring access and security of the space.
  • Lead a team of engineers and integration specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to define integration requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions for complex software systems, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for testing, debugging, and quality assurance to maintain high standards of software performance and reliability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the lab.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and testing procedures.
  • Interface with customers to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with integration solutions.

Requirements

  • Active secret clearance or higher
  • 6 years of related experience in Network or Systems Administration, Lab Management, Systems Integration, or similar roles.
  • Experience configuring or maintaining network or computer hardware equipment.
  • Experience debugging or performing quality assurance on software/hardware.
  • Experience with lab build out and accreditation.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage of $50-$65/hr
  • Annual salary range of $105,000 - $130,000
