About the position

The Hardware System Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting and deploying automation tests and manufacturing applications within a global satellite network project. This position involves collaboration with production, engineering, and IT teams to enhance the efficiency and safety of satellite manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Offer first-line support for production automation systems, including SCADA and custom test equipment.
• Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of integrated production systems to ensure reliability and functionality.
• Assist in the deployment and commissioning of new systems, including programming and network integration.
• Provide constructive feedback to development teams for enhancing manufacturing infrastructure.
• Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call support schedule to maintain production continuity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Python programming proficiency
• Experience developing software that directly interacts with hardware
• Experience with OT equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ethernet Protocols
• Experience with Fieldbus Protocols
• Debugging skills at an intermediate level.
