About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Hardware System Engineer to join the Mission Systems team in Owego, NY. This role involves leading the development of advanced processing systems and subsystems, ensuring technical integrity and quality throughout the hardware development process. The engineer will utilize digital transformation practices to enhance product capabilities and drive innovation, while managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including management of the Hardware Development Process Implementation.
  • Leading product development activities and providing technical guidance.
  • Coordinating card and unit level integration, test, and debug.
  • Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
  • Managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Strong leadership experience including leading diverse teams.
  • Circuit card design experience.
  • Experience with process reviews, audits, and compliance.
  • Experience with laboratory work/testing and with analog, RF, or digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level.

  • Experience with designing/developing/integrating advanced processing systems
  • Control Account and Project Management Experience; CAM Certification a plus
  • Experience working in classified environments
  • Experience leading Integrated Project Teams
  • DO-178 and DO-254 processes
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to brief technical/program information to internal and external audiences
  • Drive execution through a DevSecOps approach and maximizing stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working with commercial test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Logic Analyzers.
