About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Design / System Engineer to join the Mission Systems team. This role involves the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. The engineer will ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work while utilizing Digital Transformation practices to drive innovation.

Responsibilities

• Supporting product development activities, including requirements derivation through product integration support.
• Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including the Systems Engineering and Hardware Development Process Implementation.
• Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables, and ensuring cost and schedule commitments are met.
• Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Experience with hardware design including requirements derivation through product integration support.
• Knowledge of the full product development lifecycle.
• Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines and program personnel in cross-functional product development.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level.

Nice-to-haves

• DOD customer experience
• Experience with designing/developing/integrating advanced processing systems
• Experience with DO-254 and/or DO-178 design certification
• Drive execution through a Digital Engineering environment, leveraging Model-Based System Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile approaches
• Experience with DOORS and NextGen DOORS
