About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Design/System Engineer to join the Mission Systems team. This senior role involves the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, overseeing all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation to product integration. The engineer will ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work while utilizing Digital Transformation practices to drive innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall organizational process compliance, including management of the Hardware Development Process Implementation.
  • Lead product development activities and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
  • Manage customer interfaces and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Leverage Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Strong leadership experience including leading diverse teams.
  • Circuit card design experience.
  • Experience with process reviews, audits, and compliance.
  • Experience with laboratory work/testing and with analog, RF, or digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Design, test, and evaluate RF, analog, or digital hardware and test equipment.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to brief technical/program information to internal and external audiences
  • Drive execution through a DevSecOps approach and maximizing stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working with commercial test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Logic Analyzers.
