About the position

As a Hardware System Integration Lead at Apple, you will leverage your engineering expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of innovative products, particularly the Apple Vision Pro. This role involves taking products from concept to mass production, solving complex engineering challenges, and ensuring the robustness of designs through rigorous testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Define exciting product features that enhance customer experience.
• Select components, design schematics, and direct layout for product development.
• Bring up and debug circuits in the lab environment.
• Perform characterization of circuits using state-of-the-art test equipment.
• Define test criteria and execute test plans on functional prototypes.
• Travel domestically and internationally to work with product teams and manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in designing electronics and/or embedded systems.
• Strong fundamentals in Electrical Engineering, including high-speed buses and analog/digital design.
• Hands-on experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug, and validation.
• Comfortable in a lab environment using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing high volume products from beginning to end.
• Familiarity with leading PCB technology and electrical design for PCIe, USB, Display Port, MIPI, and I2C/SPI/UART buses.
• Knowledge in CPU/SOC, power management, analog circuits, and sensor design.
• Experience designing hardware for USB specification compliant devices.
• Expertise in board CAD tools including Cadence Concept & Allegro.
