About the position

The Hardware Systems Design Engineer for the iPhone team at Apple is responsible for designing and developing hardware systems from concept to mass production. The position requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and offers opportunities for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware systems for the iPhone from concept to mass production.
• Own the design, integration, and validation of rigid boards and printed flexible circuits.
• Collaborate with multi-functional technology teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct hardware bring-up and debugging in a lab setting.
• Utilize scripting languages to assist with hardware development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including analog and digital design.
• Experience working with dynamic multi-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in high-speed digital design.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debug.
• Strong fundamentals of signal and power integrity.
• Understanding of low voltage power regulation solutions.
• Experience integrating hardware into multi-functional systems.
