About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Apple focuses on electrical system design within the Accessories Hardware Engineering team. This role involves ownership of the entire design process, from architecture definition to component selection, schematic capture, board layout, validation, and manufacturing. The engineer will lead technical initiatives and collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop innovative accessories that integrate cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for system architecture and hardware system design.
• Lead system schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
• Champion all design reviews and ensure technical excellence.
• Drive detailed hardware and silicon validation planning and execution.
• Collaborate with various multi-functional teams involved in product design and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant proven experience in electrical engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering with experience in prototyping, hardware bring-up, and validation.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with audio, wireless, and sensor integration.
• Experience with high-speed design and signal integrity, including validation with VNA TDR.
• Familiarity with data protocols such as USB, UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG, SWD.
• Knowledge in microcontrollers, power management, and mixed circuits.
• Experience with firmware and embedded systems.
• Product lead experience with a broad hardware design background.
