As a Hardware Systems Engineer at Meta, you will play a crucial role in the hardware lifecycle of servers, which includes hands-on system and hardware debugging, as well as stress testing. Your responsibilities will encompass enabling production-ready system monitoring, automated provisioning, and automated remediation of issues. You will be tasked with testing systems before they are released to production data centers, while also tracking the health and lifecycle of servers in production environments. Your work will involve delivering scalable and reliable custom ASIC solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our data centers. In this position, you will collaborate closely with end users to understand their system use cases, which will help guide the validation process. It is essential to ensure tight loops between hardware qualification and final application use models. You will also identify the volume and velocity of qualifications to facilitate the fastest possible ramp to production. Your role will cover all aspects of silicon productization, including early architecture and design inputs, pre-silicon validation, bring-up, and post-silicon characterization. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing tests, creating bare metal operating systems, and enabling frameworks that allow for reuse and scale testing from pre-silicon platforms to multiple ASICs during the post-silicon phase. Your work will also involve functional and electrical characterization over various conditions such as temperature, process corner, and voltage. Building and maintaining extensive lab automation will be a key part of your responsibilities. This position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the US, providing flexibility in your work environment.
