The Hardware Systems Integration Engineer role at Apple focuses on the development of innovative technologies for PCB and module designs specifically for iPhone products. Responsibilities

  • Develop technology solutions at the PCB/module level to meet product goals in cost, thermal performance, battery life, reliability, and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to explore process improvements and materials that reduce routing density, power loss, coexistence, and insertion loss while maintaining or reducing solution dimensions.
  • Contribute to cross-functional system and module designs across antenna flexes, camera substrates, main logic board PCBs, and system flexes.
  • Participate in international travel opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in PCB design and hardware engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of system-level design and integration.
  • Ability to make complex design decisions that impact product performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with rigid, flex, and substrate PCB designs.
  • Familiarity with thermal management and reliability testing.
  • Knowledge of materials science as it relates to PCB design.
