About the position

The Hardware Technical Project Manager at Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited is responsible for overseeing the evaluation of customer and system requirements, leading to the derivation of Hardware Requirements Specifications and Architecture. This role involves creating hardware designs utilizing processors and microcontrollers, as well as engaging in schematic design and prototyping as necessary. The position requires a deep understanding of technical drawings, including block diagrams, and the ability to define module-level hardware requirements such as filter blocks, power supply blocks, and memory blocks. In addition to design responsibilities, the Hardware Technical Project Manager will analyze calculation and simulation results of electrical circuits and elements, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications. Collaboration is key in this role, as the manager will work closely with international development partners and various Bosch development teams, including System and Software teams. The position also involves contributing to Hardware Software Interface specifications (HSI) and supporting test engineers in the creation of test specifications. Furthermore, the manager will assist in acquisitions and project proposals, adapting hardware architectures to meet customer needs as required. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing microcontroller boards and associated peripheral circuits, as well as a strong background in both analog and digital circuit design. This includes board-level power supply design, actuator and motor control circuit design, and the design of interface circuits for various sensors. Knowledge of communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Ethernet is essential. Proficiency with CAD packages for schematic capture and PCB layout design is also required, along with experience in reliability analysis, FMEA, and electrical compliance for EMI/EMC. The role demands a hands-on approach, with experience in board bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuits, as well as system-level testing and validation of electronic products.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of all Customer/System requirements, deriving Hardware Requirements Specification, Architecture.
• Creating hardware designs using processors and microcontrollers, schematic design, prototyping as required.
• Creating and analyzing technical drawings (block diagrams).
• Defining module level hardware requirements (E.g.: filter block, power supply block, memory block, etc.).
• Understanding calculation and simulation results of electrical circuits and elements.
• Cooperation with international development partners and Bosch development teams (e.g.: System, Software).
• Contribution on Hardware Software Interface specification (HSI).
• Supporting test engineer in creating test specifications.
• Supporting acquisitions & project proposals, understanding customer needs and adjusting the hardware architectures if needed.

Requirements

• Experience in designing microcontroller boards and associated peripheral circuits.
• Experience in analog and digital circuit design, board level power supply design (Buck, Boost, LDO, Linear).
• Experience in actuator and motor control circuit design (BDC, BLDC, stepper).
• Experience in designing interface circuits for capacitive touch, ToF, Display and different types of analog and digital sensors.
• Knowledge in communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.
• Experience with CAD packages (Altium/ORCAD/Mentor Graphics) for schematic capture and PCB layout design.
• Knowledge of components selections/design, BOM preparation, thermal calculations, and spice simulations.
• Experience with Reliability analysis, FMEA and MTBF.
• Experience in Electrical Compliance for EMI/EMC.
• Experience in preparing documents like HDD, Layout guidelines, test plan, test report etc.
• Experience in board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting the electronic circuits.
• Experience in using equipment's like DSO, signal generator, thermal imager, data logger.
• Experience in system level testing and validation of electronic products.
• Experience in Electronic product development.
