About the position

The IT Hardware Technician at HomeStreet Bank is responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house technology equipment and IT assets. This role involves installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading corporate hardware while ensuring optimal performance. The technician will troubleshoot issues, provide end-user assistance, and proactively assist users in preventing future problems.

Responsibilities

  • Receive customer problem reports and resolve problems immediately or within the scope of the documented Service Level Agreement.
  • Complete Service Requests (SR) and incidents as required.
  • Proactively assist users in preventing future problems by identifying root causes and providing training.
  • Communicate potential problems and patterns of errors to the Helpdesk and IT Technical Services Department.
  • Install and maintain all hardware assets, including desktop computing equipment and multi-function printers.
  • Provide support to all users on the network, both hardware and software.
  • Document all communication to and from customers using the HEAT ticketing system.
  • Coordinate and track hardware inventories for add/change/delete requests.
  • Manage employee moves, office openings, and closures, including moving desktop equipment and networking equipment.
  • Maintain a knowledge base to assist with timely troubleshooting.
  • Track and manage loaner laptops and other IT equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of PC Support or Help Desk Experience.
  • A+ Certification at time of hire or within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN technology.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft software and Dell Hardware preferred.
  • Knowledge of HEAT is a plus.
