The Leonardo DRS Airborne and Intelligence Systems business is a global leader and strategic partner committed to delivering world-class, full life-cycle defense and intelligence products that protect the security of our nation and our allies. This position involves significant responsibilities in the design and development of test programs aimed at measuring the functionality and integrity of various products and services. The successful candidate will be tasked with writing test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability, ensuring that products meet established performance standards and specifications. Debugging test hardware and software will also be a critical part of the role, requiring a strong technical background and problem-solving skills. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role includes managing the completion of assigned tasks on time and within budget. The candidate will design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems, potentially utilizing computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software. Regular reporting on progress and status will be expected, along with reviewing customer specifications and requirements to develop designs that support them effectively, with cost considerations being a key design variable. The position also involves specifying and evaluating supplier components, subsystems, and services, as well as supporting program design to meet cost and manufacturing requirements. Developing prototypes to mitigate key development risks is another important aspect of the role. Clear communication, both written and oral, with other company personnel and customers is essential. Participation in the preparation of less-complex proposals and providing technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel will also be part of the job. The candidate will be expected to support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization, and attend relevant engineering, customer, or business meetings.
