About the position

The Hardware Test Engineer (EE) plays a crucial role in the product development process, collaborating closely with the Hardware engineering team from concept to design freeze. This position involves executing hardware board-level testing and facilitating technical communication between engineering and non-technical teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for hardware development, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Hardware Integration Testing
  • Perform Hardware Software Testing
  • Understand Hardware Design - Microcontroller, Signal interfaces
  • Understand Schematics/Circuit
  • Use Test Equipment: Multimeter, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • Program/Flash the Software into Microcontroller
  • Demonstrate Soldering skills (SMDs etc.)
  • Understand Hardware Test Case
  • Document the test results: Doors, RTC
  • Have Automotive Electronics Product experience - Infotainments, Cluster, Radios

Requirements

  • BS in EE engineering with 5+ years of Automotive Electronics experience in hardware design
  • Automotive Embedded knowledge
  • Electrical signal characterization experience in DDR, I2C/SPI/UART buses
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment with oscilloscopes, multi meters, lab power supplies and other validation test equipment
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced work environment for Automotive electronic product development
