About the position

The Hardware Test Engineer II at Jabil plays a crucial role in the Intelligent Infrastructure division, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of test procedures and hardware for electronic circuit board production in a server manufacturing environment. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure products meet high standards and performance expectations, while also leading recruitment and development efforts for the testing team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test procedures and tester hardware/software for electronic circuit board production.
  • Utilize failure analysis techniques to identify root causes of issues.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues during testing and integration processes.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate testing processes and analyze data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and evaluate system performance for AI/ML and GPGPU hardware platforms.
  • Recruit and interview Server/Rack Testers, Diagnostic Technicians, and Debug Technicians.
  • Coach and mentor team members to deliver excellence to customers.
  • Establish measurable goals and objectives for team performance.
  • Provide communication forums for idea exchange within the department.
  • Review circuit board designs for testability requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years' experience in a hardware product development environment, preferably with enterprise server, storage, or networking products.
  • Expertise with Linux and Linux Shell; capable of training technicians on Linux basics.
  • Intermediate understanding of Bash and Python programming.
  • Strong understanding of computer/server hardware concepts and functionality.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of statistical analysis.
