As a Hardware Test Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in our Product Development & Operations Group, which focuses on designing and manufacturing IoT-based products for the safety and security industry. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products meet high-quality standards and compliance requirements in a timely manner. You will be involved in testing and compliance efforts for our products, including the HALO and SentryERS systems, and will contribute to the development of new products in our portfolio. In this position, you will design, execute, and document testing activities for hardware and software/firmware associated with electronic systems and components. You will troubleshoot nonconforming items and provide corrective actions and mistake-proofing plans. Additionally, you will lead compliance efforts, ensuring that all current and new products meet necessary compliance requirements such as UL, FCC, RoHS, and ISO. Your role will also involve compiling compliance submittals, interfacing with testing labs and agencies, and maintaining certification documentation. You will be responsible for creating and documenting test procedures, designing and verifying test fixtures, evaluating components and products, and providing guidance on electronics design to ensure compliance with certification requirements. Your work will require you to stay updated on regulatory advancements and communicate effectively with the Director of Engineering and Project Management department to implement company strategies. You will also maintain accurate records and prepare technical reports documenting all aspects of testing and regulatory projects. Continuous learning and professional development will be encouraged through attendance at conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
