About the position

Kronos is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer to manage production, vendor, and quality management for CPCS products. The role involves overseeing drawing and BOM changes, resolving manufacturing and quality issues, and coordinating with contract manufacturing organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware/software design, test integration, and model-based development, along with the ability to write technical documentation and perform system-level testing.

Responsibilities

  • Management of Class 2 and Class 1 drawing and BOM changes.
  • Customer technical white papers, safety assessments, and technical communication.
  • Resolution of manufacturing, vendor, and quality issues impacting smooth delivery of CPCS product.
  • Updates/improvement routing and MOT (manufacturing operation and tooling).
  • Daily coordination with non-Honeywell contract manufacturing and support organizations (Celestica, KBR).
  • Manage IRB, HSR, transitions from inception to closure.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electro-mechanical production test equipment to maintain and support production targets.
  • Experience in HW/SW design, test equipment design, HW/SW integration and test.
  • Write test cases and procedure/scripts for requirement validation (Python).
  • Perform validation tests and write analysis reports (HMATS).
  • Validate development SW packages and modifications to customer requirements.
  • Integrate system level test equipment, electronic/mechanical hardware, and software.
  • Familiarity with basic engineering development process (IPDS per AP-1235 or equiv).
  • Able to independently write technical documents (qualification documents, design review material, acceptance test reports, etc).
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, interface drawings, and drawing trees (PDM).
  • Familiarity with PDM ECR/ECO initiation and review process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, Systems, EE, ME or equivalent.
  • 7+ years in Aerospace systems design, production build, vendor management, test equipment design, SW/HW test integration, certification.
  • US citizen or US person.
  • Design, Manufacturing and Test experience preferred.
  • TeamCenter drawing management, Test equipment and test SW experience preferred.
  • Customer technical requirements management experience, using formal tracking systems (DOORS, PTS, Clearcase) also preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with aerospace industry specifications (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754a, ARP4761, Mil-spec).
  • Familiarity with FAA and other aircraft certification processes (FAR Part 23, 25).
  • Understanding of Aircraft Cabin Pressure and/or Environmental Control Systems.
  • Interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional disciplines as well as suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Understanding of System Safety Analysis and Functional Hazard Assessment.
