About the position

The Hardware Test Engineer (EE) plays a crucial role in the product development process, collaborating closely with the Hardware engineering team from concept to design freeze. This position involves executing hardware board-level testing and driving internal cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with hardware design specifications. The engineer will facilitate technical communication between engineering and non-technical teams, leveraging their expertise to identify solutions for engineering issues during testing and reviewing all technical work. A passion for hardware development and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Hardware Integration Testing
  • Perform Hardware Software Testing
  • Understand Hardware Design Microcontroller and Signal interfaces
  • Understand Schematics/Circuit
  • Utilize Test Equipment such as Multimeter and Oscilloscope
  • Program/Flash the Software into Microcontroller
  • Demonstrate Soldering skills (SMDs etc.)
  • Understand Hardware Test Case
  • Document the test results using Doors and RTC
  • Apply Automotive Electronics Product experience in Infotainments, Cluster, and Radios

Requirements

  • BS in EE engineering with 5+ years of Automotive Electronics experience in hardware design
  • Automotive Embedded knowledge
  • Electrical signal characterization experience in DDR, I2C/SPI/UART buses
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment with oscilloscopes, multimeters, lab power supplies, and other validation test equipment
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced work environment for Automotive electronic product development
