About the position

As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the performance, functionality, and durability of hardware products. This role involves conducting thorough testing and validation to ensure that hardware products meet specifications, requirements, and quality standards. You will perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware defects, implementing preventive measures to minimize future issues. Staying current with advancements in hardware testing methodologies and applying them to enhance product quality is essential for success in this position. In addition to testing, you will efficiently manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing. Building strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership and their operations teams across multiple sites, as well as collaborating with Launch, Facilities, Process Engineers, and other business stakeholders, is crucial. You will also identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams, ensuring that testing processes are optimized and aligned with business goals. This role requires up to 30% domestic travel, allowing you to engage with various teams and sites to ensure hardware system repairs are executed effectively. The work environment is hybrid, requiring some days on-site in Bellevue, Washington, and some days remote, with a daily schedule that includes three days in the office from 8 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for hardware products.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure hardware products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware defects, implementing preventive measures.
  • Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing efficiently.
  • Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership and operations teams across multiple sites.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams.

Requirements

  • Experience with optical test bench setup.
  • Experience in firmware code writing for testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and/or Verilog/VHDL.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations in India, including ISO 9001, ISO, and RoHS.
  • Knowledge of hardware regulatory requirements such as FCC and CE.
  • Strong communication skills.
