About the position

The Hardware Test Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test capabilities, ensuring the functionality of test racks across multiple venues. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholder teams to identify and resolve issues affecting test availability and performance. The engineer will also utilize design documentation to procure and integrate new HITL test assets, working closely with customer teams to support integrated vehicle testing and meet defined goals and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot Propulsion hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test capabilities.
• Monitor the status and functionality of test racks deployed in multiple HITL venues.
• Work with multiple stakeholder teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve disruptions in availability or bugs impacting recurring tests.
• Utilize existing design documentation to procure, build, commission, and integrate new HITL test assets for internal customers.
• Support integrated vehicle HITL venues and other avionics HITL test capabilities in collaboration with customer and stakeholder teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience operating hardware tests and electronic testing.
• Experience in a lab setting.
• Ability to test using Python and work on command line in Linux and Unix environments.
