As a Hardware Test Engineer at Cisco, you will be an integral part of the Service Provider Hardware team within the Common Hardware Group (CHG). This team is focused on the Cisco 8000 product line, which includes both modular and fixed platforms. Your role will involve collaborating with a diverse group of talented individuals who are problem solvers and innovators in the Hardware Development Team located in San Jose. The primary responsibility of this team is to bring up and test prototype hardware for the next generation of Cisco 8000 products. In this position, you will work closely with Hardware Design and other functional groups to develop comprehensive bring-up and test plans for prototype hardware. You will execute the bring-up and testing of next-generation hardware, ensuring that all components function as intended. Collaboration is key, as you will engage with cross-functional teams, including the Hardware Design team, ASIC team, diagnostics, vendors, and manufacturers, to troubleshoot hardware issues effectively.
