We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration. As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming the future through continuous technological innovation. You will be working onsite in our Boxborough, MA lab, where you will be responsible for debugging and validating silicon hardware designs for DDR and HBM PHYs. This position requires collaboration with senior engineers to verify performance and functionality, ensuring the reliability and performance of high-speed memory interfaces. In this role, you will set up and process electrical measurements, applying hands-on soldering for board modifications. You will also be responsible for writing and executing Python and C scripts for hardware tests. Your contributions will support the launch of next-generation silicon designs and provide insights into electrical performance and design specifications. You will be part of a supportive team focused on developing and testing DDR and HBM PHYs within Synopsys' IP portfolio, ensuring functionality and addressing customer issues.

Responsibilities

  • Debugging and validating silicon hardware designs for DDR and HBM PHYs.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to verify performance and functionality.
  • Setting up and processing electrical measurements.
  • Applying hands-on soldering for board modifications.
  • Writing and executing Python and C scripts for hardware tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of hardware validation experience.
  • Expertise in high-speed oscilloscopes, BERTs, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers.
  • Proficiency in Python and C for hardware testing.
