About the position

The Harness Fabricator position at Nextant Aerospace Flexjet involves the critical task of building and terminating wiring harnesses for aircraft installation. In addition to the fabrication of wiring harnesses, the role also encompasses performing electrical wiring modifications to existing equipment. This may involve inspecting and testing wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely. The Harness Fabricator will also be responsible for kitting fabrication operations as designed, which requires a thorough understanding of the components involved in the wiring process. Documentation is a key aspect of this position, as the Harness Fabricator must complete all required paperwork and computer documentation related to harness and component fabrication. This ensures that all processes are tracked and that the quality of work can be verified. The role may also involve other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, making it a dynamic position within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality for aircraft installation.
• Perform a variety of aviation electrical and fabrication processes including wire marking, soldering, crimping, connector termination, and assembly.
• Perform electrical wiring modifications to equipment.
• Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits.
• Perform kitting fabrication/operations as designed.
• Ensure work meets quality standards set by the organization.
• Complete all required paperwork and computer documentation for harness and component fabrication.
• Perform other related duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 highly desired.
• Understanding of avionics and electrical wiring diagrams and circuits is preferred.
• Knowledge of various wire harness tools including manual and crimpers is preferred.
• Prior experience in electrical harness fabrication is a plus.
• Prior aviation electrical experience is a plus.
• Fanatical attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experienced with all MS Office suites.
