About the position

As an Assistant Director at One River School of Art + Design, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service for prospective and current students and parents. This role requires strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff members, students, clients, and community partners. You will implement ambitious plans for growing our programs, taking initiative and being proactive in your approach. Your competitive nature will drive you to exceed targets and find ways to grow awareness of our programs in your community. You will also inspire a small team of full-time and part-time staff, nurturing and developing them to reach their full potential. The working environment is varied and fast-paced, and you will have a lot of latitude in how you achieve your goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive member retention and develop relationships with parents and students.
  • Market and network to follow up on all leads and organize community events.
  • Develop relationships with the business community and design marketing materials.
  • Generate reports on community outreach efforts.
  • Curate, promote, and execute professional and community exhibitions in the gallery.
  • Ensure the building is well maintained and equipped.
  • Manage a small dedicated team of full and part-time staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited, four year college or university required.
  • 3-5 years experience in a service based sales and customer service role.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management and e-commerce software.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Majors in Studio Art, Art History or other visual fine arts majors.
  • Minors in Marketing, business and communications.
