The Certification Specialist at Redwood Family Care Network plays a crucial role in managing the initial application and licensing processes for homes that provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all licensing and programmatic requirements are consistently met, adhering to local and state regulations, policies, and laws that govern the provision of quality services. The specialist will work closely with various levels of management, agency officials, and staff to maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, providers, and representatives from the Division of Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Licensing Certifications and Regulations (OLCR) & (OLR). In this role, the Certification Specialist will conduct interviews and evaluate applicants based on their character, family stability, and ability to care for individuals with developmental disabilities. They will manage initial applications, assign specific duties, and monitor all services provided. An organized system for all licensing documentation must be maintained, and the specialist will assist in managing member records as specified by Arizona regulations. The safety of employees and individuals supported is a top priority, and the specialist will act as an agency liaison, working with field supervisors, service providers, state representatives, and licensing authorities as needed. The position requires participation in Person Centered Support Plan (PCSP) team meetings and conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with all standards. The work environment is diverse, requiring tact and discretion in a multi-cultural setting, and the specialist must demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
