About the position

The Psychotherapist at Sinai Chicago is responsible for providing psychotherapy and treatment services that empower clients, enhance their problem-solving skills, and foster self-awareness. This role includes conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions, ensuring proper documentation for billing, and mentoring newer staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychotherapeutic and clinical treatment sessions for individuals, families, and groups.
• Complete all required case records and statistical reporting documentation within specified time frames.
• Conduct home visits when clinically appropriate.
• Provide direct service for 70% of work hours.
• Facilitate consultation and outreach to ensure holistic treatment provision.
• Document all services provided in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing community resource development.
• Monitor treatment plan service delivery in relation to internal service providers.
• Perform evaluations for suicide, violence, and case management needs.
• Advocate for and with patients and families in utilizing resources and services.
• Engage patients therapeutically to help them learn healthy interpersonal social skills, hygiene, grooming, and teamwork in social settings.
• Perform individual psychotherapy based on an identified theoretical model.
• Conduct crisis therapy, family therapy, and group psychotherapy.
• Conduct clinical supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marital Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health program that is license eligible.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Cultural competence.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in EPIC and MEDITECH software systems preferred.
• Required licenses: LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, or LMFT preferred.
