About the position

As an Oracle HCM QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the quality assurance and testing activities for the implementation of Oracle HCM or similar ERP systems. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and assist in the development, execution, and retesting of test scripts for your assigned workstream. You will be expected to implement standard QA and testing practices while participating in all aspects of project testing throughout the implementation process. In this role, you will develop test scripts based on business requirements, functional documentation, and design specifications. You will execute System Integration Testing (SIT) test scripts, document actual results, and manage defect retesting. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the test defect management process, monitoring defect resolution, and reporting on progress. You will work closely with the QA Lead and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review test scenarios and scripts, incorporating feedback to ensure thorough testing coverage. Additionally, you will coordinate the execution of SIT test scripts with Project Managers and the QA Lead, review test sequences and required test data with Product Owners and Business Process Leads, and outline test plans for each testing cycle. You will create necessary test data, participate in test plan meetings, and develop test scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios identified by Product Owners and Business SMEs. Your role will also involve preparing regression test suites and performing regression testing prior to each Go-Live, supporting end-to-end testing sessions, and providing input for Go-NoGo decisions during meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test scripts utilizing business requirements/functional documentation & design specifications.
  • Execute SIT test scripts, record actual results, document, and retest defects.
  • Assist in test defect management process, monitor, and report on defect resolution.
  • Review Test Scenario's and test scripts with QA Lead and business SME's and incorporate feedback.
  • Coordinate execution of SIT test scripts with Project Managers and QA Lead.
  • Review test sequence, test data required for testing with Product Owners, Business Process Leads and Business SMEs.
  • Work with QA Lead to outline Test plan for each cycle.
  • Create test data as needed for all testing cycles.
  • Participate in the test plan meeting and provide feedback.
  • Develop test scripts for UAT scenarios identified by Product Owners, Business Process Leads and Business SMEs.
  • Prepare regression test suite and perform regression testing prior to each Go-Live.
  • Support end to end testing sessions.
  • Provide input for Go-NoGo decisions and participate in go-NoGo meeting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in testing and validating Oracle HCM Fusion Functionality.
  • Oracle HCM Fusion functionality experience including Core HR, Benefits, LA, Payroll, Talent Management, Reports is required.
  • Familiarity with Oracle CEMLI / RICEW.
  • Experience in developing test cases and test plans for Oracle HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Reports, and Talent Management is required.
  • Experience in Data Migration testing, Functional, System Integration, User Acceptance Testing & E2E testing.
  • Experience in executing test cases to verify the functionality of the software and identify defects.
  • Creating and maintaining test data to support testing activities.
  • Experience working with business and IT teams to translate functional and non-functional requirements into test cases and test scripts.
  • Experience facilitating testing activities, conducting test runs and cycles, defect tracking, issue resolution and conducting defect triage meetings is required.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail & documentation skills required.
  • Have hands on experience on writing manual tests, executing test runs, SIT & UAT test planning & execution.
