About the position

As a Higher Education Inside Sales Representative at Pearson, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling innovative digital, print, and service solutions tailored for educational institutions. Your primary focus will be on achieving sales targets while fostering relationships with faculty and supporting the mission of enhancing accessibility and affordability in education. This remote position requires a proactive approach and a passion for driving educational innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or surpass territory sales targets by offering course-based solutions to faculty.
  • Accelerate the shift toward subscription-based materials to tackle student affordability and access challenges.
  • Collaborate with specialists and account executives to implement effective program-wide or institution-wide solutions.
  • Conduct impactful back-to-school campaigns that boost student engagement.
  • Collaborate with bookstores to drive sell-through.
  • Track and forecast sales in OneCRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Engage with faculty members through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email exchanges.
  • Connect with at least 15 faculty members daily using consultative sales techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and timely tracking and forecasting using OneCRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise account-level sales professionals to promote Inclusive Access and additional services.
  • Develop strategic plans at both the territory and adoption level.
  • Deliver effective technology sales presentations to faculty and conduct technology training sessions for students.
  • Collaborate with customer success teams, subject matter experts, and operations to ensure the highest faculty satisfaction.
  • Implement company initiatives within your sales territory.
  • Stay up-to-date with Pearson's products, platforms, and capabilities.
  • Remain informed about developments in the educational industry and market trends.
  • Share successful strategies and tactics with colleagues at the district, regional, and national levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of outstanding sales performance in the higher education market or a related industry.
  • Proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications, and business systems.
