About the position

Mollie Stone's Markets is seeking a Head Clerk for their Greenbrae location. This full-time position involves taking on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager and ensuring exceptional customer service and operational goals are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, and will be responsible for managing store operations, supervising employees, and handling customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the store and supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Second Assistant.
• Ensure the store is secure, properly closed, and prepared for the next business day.
• Achieve exceptional customer service and all related operational goals and objectives.
• Complete supervisory paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Oversee the processing and stocking of new shipments.
• Handle emergencies and customer complaints.
• Process sales at the register.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in grocery.
• At least one year of experience in a management role.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to ask for help when necessary.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
