About the position

The Head Coach for the 9th Grade Softball team at Centennial High School is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the softball program, including practices, games, and skill development. The role emphasizes the importance of academic support for student-athletes and requires strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and the community. The coach is expected to be a positive role model and passionate about teaching the game of softball.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the 9th Grade Softball program.
• Manage practices and games for the team.
• Develop individual and team skills in softball.
• Support students academically and follow up on their academic progress.
• Participate in the tryout process and team formation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts Degree
• Previous softball coaching experience at the youth, high school, or collegiate level
• Excellent communication skills when dealing with students, staff, and community.

Benefits

• Compensation of $4,562.00 per Schedule B of the Centennial Teachers Contract
