About the position

The Head Girl's Swimming Coach for Ludington Area Schools will oversee and manage the swim program for the 2025-2026 school year. This part-time position involves developing training programs, mentoring student-athletes, and ensuring compliance with district and MHSAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the swim program within Ludington Area School District.
• Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes to enhance sport-specific skills.
• Create opportunities for feeder programs to learn and grow in swimming.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the community.
• Ensure compliance with all Ludington Area School District and MHSAA rules and regulations.
• Serve as a mentor for student-athletes, promoting their athletic, academic, and personal growth.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching swimming at a competitive level.
• Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school administration.
• Knowledge of MHSAA rules and regulations regarding high school athletics.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a head coach or assistant coach in swimming.
• Ability to develop community engagement programs related to swimming.
