About the position

The Bar Team Leader at W Amsterdam is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the W Lounge and bar, ensuring that guests receive luxury service and an on-brand W experience. This role involves leading the bar team, maintaining high service standards, and creating memorable experiences for guests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the W Lounge and bar to ensure luxury service.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards.
• Facilitate smooth communication and cooperation with other departments.
• Motivate the team to achieve excellent performance and maximize their potential.
• Create training programs to enhance bartenders' skills and evaluate their performance.
• Ensure adherence to service standards and operating procedures throughout each order and interaction.
• Conduct quality control of daily operations, including stock management and brand standards compliance.
• Track par stock levels and create purchasing requisitions for bar operations.
• Develop and update the menu by creating new cocktails in collaboration with the head bartender.
• Create an onboarding plan for new bartenders to guide them during their initial weeks.
• Handle closing duties for the Lounge, including financial and closing reports.
• Provide personalized service to guests, ensuring memorable experiences.
• Maintain a clean and inviting environment for guests.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English; Dutch and any other language is appreciated.
• Preferably experience in nightlife venues (bars/lounges).
• Work Permit for The Netherlands is required.
