About the position

The Head of Claims Department will oversee the daily operations of the Claims Department in a dynamic, multinational company. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing claims processes. The position involves ensuring high-performance standards, maintaining accurate claims records, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Comprehensive training will be provided, making prior claims management experience a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Claims Department in daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning and high-performance standards.
  • Support the team with claims correspondence, data entry, and research tasks.
  • Maintain accurate claims databases for submissions, tracking, and timely reporting to management.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of claims records, including claim history, related correspondence, and relevant documents.
  • Maintain detailed claims submission records to ensure prompt and accurate processing.
  • Handle incoming claims inquiries and manage escalated claims, ensuring they are resolved efficiently.
  • Track claim progress and monitor the status of denied claims and appeals, providing updates as necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting transparency and organized workflows across the department.

Requirements

  • Prior background in claims processing or claims management is a significant plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write legibly and accurately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks, from data entry to claims tracking.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software (e.g., project management tools).
  • Comfortable with managing claims databases and generating reports.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player, fostering a supportive and transparent environment.
  • Experience in office management, administrative roles, or similar positions is highly valued.
