Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly skilled individual for the position of Head of Cloud FinOps. This role is pivotal in guiding the company's cloud financial strategy, ensuring that cloud infrastructure operations are cost-effective while maintaining high performance standards. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team of FinOps experts, responsible for implementing best practices in financial management and cloud cost control across the organization. The Cloud Platform Engineering team, which this position is part of, specializes in the deployment, management, operations, compliance, and security of cloud-based and hybrid solutions. This team is dedicated to delivering scalable solutions and optimizing operations through centralized cost management and monitoring. In this role, you will spearhead the FinOps program, enhancing collaboration with technical and product teams to manage expenses effectively. You will develop and implement a company-wide showback model for technology expenses, set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial and strategic objectives, and conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support the organization's financial robustness. Establishing best practices in FinOps with cross-functional leaders and formulating strategies for cloud discount management will be essential components of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will lead cloud cost optimization initiatives, manage the FinOps team, and create a strategic cloud FinOps plan and roadmap. A critical part of your role will involve reviewing cloud service invoices for accuracy and assisting teams in achieving their financial goals by recommending cost-cutting measures. You will also lead a team that generates business intelligence reports and participates in the annual budgeting process, ensuring that the organization remains financially sound and strategically aligned.
