About the position

As the Head of Commercial for Viral Vector, you will lead the VV CDMO Sales team, responsible for executing the go-to-market strategy and sales tactics for the Viral Vector offering. This role involves negotiating complex business deals, driving revenue growth, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance market share and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the VV CDMO Sales team to execute the go-to-market strategy for Viral Vector offerings.
  • Drive the growth of the VV market share by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing client accounts.
  • Address performance issues within the VV sales organization and set high standards for the team.
  • Build a revenue backlog to meet the Operating Plan for the VV business.
  • Provide industry insights to contribute to the strategy definition of CDMO services and OP planning.
  • Ensure high performance from opportunity generation to contract signature.
  • Collaborate with modality leads and operational functions to drive profitability metrics.
  • Partner with global commercial functions to execute key commercial priorities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior executives at targeted VV accounts.
  • Cultivate a network of influencers, including consultants and VC firms.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in viral vector development, manufacturing, and analytics from a CDMO or Biopharma company.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive a customer-focused commercial team.
  • Ability to execute go-to-market strategies and build a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce.com for tracking opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze market competition and trends.
  • Experience in managing budgets against lead performance targets.
