As the Head of Data & Governance, you will take overall ownership of the company's data assets and enterprise data science capabilities. This role is pivotal in defining and implementing the data strategy and leading an enterprise-wide data organization to shift the culture of Chatham to embrace data as a strategic advantage. You will be responsible for creating a federated data management function, ensuring firm-wide partnership and commitment across functions for data architecture, engineering, governance, and quality. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing data quality standards, monitoring adherence to data management standards, and building a center of excellence to support a common data management approach. In this role, you will coordinate the collection and aggregation of data with relevant stakeholders, enabling strategic data-driven decisions at the senior management level. You will work closely with business unit leaders to define and assess performance, drive actionable insights, and implement advanced analytic processes. Your impact will be transformative, requiring a blend of operational approach, deep technical skills, and strategic mindset to drive the organization's data journey. You will need to engage credibly with stakeholders within the Technology function and facilitate the setting of data management standards to achieve effective and consistent data management across the organization. As a successful candidate, you will leverage data assets to develop solutions that achieve financial outcomes while optimizing actuarial and regulatory functions. You will also drive enhanced information security and data protection, enabling the establishment of an Agile, data-driven environment.
