About the position

The Head of Direct Retail Sales is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of Ford's Integrated Services high velocity call center team. This role involves managing partner direct sales teams, aligning with business units to plan and execute sales campaigns, and developing a scalable model to achieve product portfolio sales targets across North America. The position focuses on building a high-performing inside sales team and improving sales processes to enhance customer experiences and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and build an inside sales team and processes based on industry best practices.
  • Build an inside sales culture that fosters a team-based atmosphere focused on executing objectives efficiently.
  • Coach the inside sales team to penetrate green and white space accounts not covered by existing field sales teams.
  • Identify and implement processes and technology solutions to improve the sales process and customer journey.
  • Develop and report on key sales metrics weekly/monthly in conjunction with Sales Operations via CRM.
  • Work with marketing and data teams to improve lead quality and qualification processes.
  • Implement target and commission structures that drive quota exceeding results in collaboration with sales leadership, finance, and sales operations.
  • Ensure a world-class customer onboarding experience while focusing on churn reduction in partnership with customer success.
  • Contribute to the Ford Pro Intelligence sales leadership team regarding strategic planning and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years previous experience as an overachieving individual contributor in a high velocity sales environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in deploying and utilizing sales tools such as Sales Loft, GongIO, or Salesforce equivalents.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of SAAS sales management experience, preferably in fleet or automotive.
  • Experience in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment.
  • Extensive knowledge driving pipeline development through outbound and inbound strategies.
  • Proven experience building and scaling inside sales teams that consistently exceed revenue targets.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Post Secondary degree in business or related field.
  • Strong leadership and relationship management experience.
