About the position

The Head of Early Careers Investment Banking Recruiting at Barclays is a strategic leadership role responsible for leading intern and graduate recruitment across U.S. Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Sustainable Finance. This position involves designing and executing innovative recruitment strategies, mentoring a team of recruiters, and driving diversity and inclusion initiatives to enhance candidate experiences and align recruitment efforts with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement early careers recruitment strategies and programs that align with the bank's business goals.
  • Build and maintain early career talent needs assessment to anticipate hiring needs and maintain a talent pipeline.
  • Create compelling job postings and marketing materials, and coordinate sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes.
  • Oversee onboarding processes for new hires to facilitate a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with hiring managers, academic institutions, and professional organizations to develop a strong talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in early careers recruitment, including interns and graduates, across undergraduate and MBA levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels, internally and externally.
  • Creative thinker with experience designing and implementing attraction and assessment strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to shape compelling recruitment narratives and plans.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring recruitment teams to drive productivity and impact.
  • Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and ability to integrate them into recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent Excel skills, coupled with the ability to review and analyze data to produce insights-led presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of end-to-end regional or global recruitment processes is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required and a solid understanding of the current recruitment landscape.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $125,000 - $165,000 per year.
