About the position

The Head of Enterprise Data & Model Governance at Vanguard will lead the Data Defense Office, focusing on enhancing enterprise-wide data and model governance policies and procedures. This role aims to improve data management practices, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive accountability across the organization. The position emphasizes the importance of data anonymization, classification, and effective management of sensitive data, both internally and with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Improve enterprise-wide data and model governance policies and procedures.
• Develop and enhance Vanguard's governance frameworks.
• Infuse accountability across the enterprise to uphold high standards in data management.
• Partner with various teams to ensure compliance with data and privacy regulations.
• Drive initiatives for data anonymization and classification to reduce risk.
• Enable an automated, sustainable process throughout the data management lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data governance and management.
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance.
• Experience with Gen AI and model governance.
• Ability to develop and implement governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
