About the position

The Head of Global Logistics at Block is a senior, execution-oriented role responsible for developing and scaling the logistics, fulfillment, and distribution operations for hardware products across over 100 countries. This position involves managing a cross-functional team and implementing strategies that align with Block's global growth objectives, ensuring efficient product flow and availability through various distribution channels.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross-functional team responsible for the setup and management of Block's logistics network, including freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and trade compliance.
• Develop and implement a supply chain and logistics strategy that supports the global growth objectives for all of Block's hardware products across the Square, Cashapp, and Proto brands.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing/Product Management to ensure the distribution strategy meets go-to-market needs and explore opportunities for product availability through distribution partnerships.
• Work with business systems, finance, accounting, tax, and other partner teams to deliver tools, systems, and processes for smooth product flow, leveraging existing infrastructure and developing new tools as needed.
• Develop supplier and distribution channel strategies and relationships to ensure availability of Block's hardware.
• Design and deploy business continuity plans to mitigate various risks.
• Collaborate with business unit leads to address broader supply chain challenges in adjacent areas, including planning, operations, and packaging.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in logistics and operations work.
• Experience in both established businesses and building from scratch in smaller (preferably startup) environments.
