About the position

The Head of Growth/Commercial Lead at Rippling PEO is responsible for driving all aspects of commercial growth within the organization. This role involves setting annual recurring revenue (ARR) targets, collaborating across various teams to execute growth strategies, and ensuring that the product and service offerings evolve to meet market demands. The successful candidate will leverage analytical skills and operational expertise to navigate the competitive landscape, while also focusing on sales effectiveness and marketing communications. This position requires a strategic mindset to identify new growth opportunities and to align the organization towards achieving its goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set ARR targets and collaborate with teams to achieve them.
  • Act as the voice of key market segments to evolve product and service offerings.
  • Partner with Product Leads to prioritize improvements based on customer feedback.
  • Identify competitive threats and execute growth initiatives for significant top-line growth.
  • Encourage Sales to explore new channels and geographies for growth.
  • Align product roadmap, external messaging, and sales collateral with customer value propositions.
  • Drive accountability across the PEO team by translating ARR goals into actionable KPIs.
  • Lead annual and quarterly planning to align cross-functional partners on strategy.
  • Manage the Growth and Risk profile of the PEO business to ensure sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience in business school, consulting, or roles in BizOps, Growth, Finance, and Product is a plus.
  • Familiarity with benefits brokers, incorporation service providers, or accountants is advantageous.
  • Ability to think critically and question traditional business practices.
  • A scrappy, can-do attitude with a willingness to handle both strategic and tactical tasks.
  • Understanding of compliance obligations in insurance sales and marketing.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate business goals into actionable items with clear delivery dates.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
