About the position

Open is seeking a Head of Growth to own acquisition and retention. The ideal candidate is a creative, analytical, results-driven leader with the ability to work across performance marketing, lifecycle, and product. The position is based in Venice, CA and operates in a hybrid work environment. Open is a modern studio focused on designing a new way to practice wellbeing through their app and in-person studio, aiming to make mindfulness achievable for all. The company is committed to creating a driven and diverse team and is currently focused on scaling their app and launching new physical studios.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive performance marketing strategy to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee marketing efforts across various channels, including paid digital advertising, organic social media, content marketing, email marketing, affiliate marketing, and influencer collaborations.
  • Provide regular reports to the executive team on campaign performance, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources based on performance and potential.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop impactful marketing campaigns that resonate with the target audience.
  • Work closely with product, sales, and content teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with company goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Growth / Performance Marketing, with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth marketing strategies in consumer industries.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in utilizing data to drive decision-making and marketing optimization.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Klaviyo).
  • Experience managing large budgets effectively and delivering positive ROI.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire team collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Passion for mindfulness and wellness.
