About the position

Mill is seeking an experienced and strategic Growth Marketing leader to oversee its demand generation efforts. This role is pivotal in driving Mill's growth objectives, managing a significant portion of the direct media budget, and developing a comprehensive channel strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about reducing food waste and excited to lead innovative growth initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Determine Mill's growth strategy across paid marketing channels, including evergreen and experimental approaches.
  • Develop, create, test, and implement comprehensive paid growth strategies and campaigns for new customer acquisition.
  • Define annual and quarterly growth-related objectives and key results for the area of ownership.
  • Oversee media channel strategy and execution for priority paid marketing channels such as Meta, Google SEM, YouTube, and more.
  • Establish a plan to evaluate new channels like affiliate, influencer, and referral marketing.
  • Manage investment strategy between national efforts and locally targeted campaigns.
  • Leverage insights from the analytics team to inform strategy and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Establish a measurement roadmap inclusive of MarTech infrastructure and marketing attribution.
  • Direct agency partners to support the growth strategy, including performance and influencer agencies.
  • Own decisions around third-party tools and attribution platforms.
  • Oversee end-to-end lifecycle strategy to nurture and convert new customers.
  • Partner with creative and product teams on creative strategy and testing of concepts.
  • Stay updated with trends in the Growth industry and develop the growth-oriented Marketing team at Mill.
  • Build a team of acquisition associates and drive vision for the paid social team.

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in consumer marketing with a focus on high-growth companies.
  • Demonstrated track record of scaling businesses across diverse paid marketing channels.
  • Experience building full-funnel marketing and media strategies, including performance marketing.
  • Extensive knowledge of advertising channels, bidding strategy, and campaign design.
  • A minimum of 4 years of people management experience.
  • Deep understanding of marketing measurement, attribution, and incrementality.
  • Track record of forecasting budgets and managing budget allocation decisions.
  • Experience with new channel expansion and establishing test & learn programs.
  • Ability to transition between high-level strategy and specific details.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and evaluating opportunities based on business impact.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of DSPs and martech stack technologies.
